PPG is getting new phones!
As part of our commitment to taking the best possible care of our patients and families, we are pleased to announce that we are upgrading our telephone system! This will help us improve our customer service to you, while enabling us to utilize the most up-to-date products and services.
The work on the new system will begin today (Wednesday the 12th), and it should be up and running as of 7:30am tomorrow (Thursday). We are doing everything we can to ensure that this will NOT impact your ability to communicate with the office during the transition from our old system to our new system. Our ability to communicate with our patients is a top priority at all times!
What will this mean for you as you try to contact our office?
There will be a new “phone tree” menu of options. This will ensure your call is directed to the correct area using the options offered. There are also options to provide some commonly asked for information including office hours, address and fax number.
Wait time should be improved. The new system queues calls so they are answered in the order that they are received.
If at any time during the next few days you call one of our office numbers with an urgent issue and cannot get through, call our answering service at 453-2211. We will have uninterrupted contact with them; they will pass us the message and we will get back to you promptly.
As with any change, we anticipate that it will take a little time for our patients, families and staff to adjust to the new phone system. We have done on site training and will have our vendor on site to troubleshoot through the first few days as we work out the kinks. During this time, we hope you can forgive any misdirected or dropped calls as we know a mistake will happen here and there.
