Pooja Makhija

I was born and raised in Mumbai, India before moving to Buffalo, NY in 2003 with my family. I received my medical degree from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo in 2016. After completing my pediatric residency at Oishei Children’s Hospital in 2019, I spent a year at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri studying Pediatric Cardiology before returning to Rochester in 2020 and making it my home. I am a certified lactation specialist and have a special interest in caring for newborns and adolescents with mental health. I currently reside in Penfield with my husband, our 9-month-old son and puppy, Rex. Outside of work, I like to hike, bake desserts and spend time with my family. I am looking forward to being a part of the panorama team and taking care of your family!
